The Donya Downlight Double is a twin-configuration recessed ceiling light from Danish lighting studio Anour — and it is far more than a functional fitting. Born from the wider Donya family, it carries the same commitment to material honesty, considered craftsmanship and longevity that defines the collection. Where most downlights are designed to disappear, the Donya Downlight Double is designed to belong, pairing two integrated light sources on a single backplate for spaces that call for more than one point of light.

Crafted to be seen, built to last
The fixture is hand-finished in your choice of brass brushed, brass browned or brushed stainless steel — materials selected not despite their tendency to age, but because of it. Each surface develops its own depth and patina over time, creating a quietly individual presence that grows more characterful with every year of use.

The Onyx difference
The Donya Downlight Double can be specified with or without ANOUR's signature Onyx stone shade. Without it, the precision and simplicity of the machined metal construction speaks for itself. With the cylindrical Onyx shade, the quality of light transforms entirely — the stone absorbs and softens the beam, releasing a warm, atmospheric glow that feels more like candlelight filtered through natural stone than conventional downlighting. With a choice of amber, white or mix, no two Onyx shades are identical.

Flexible configurations for every scale
Available as a single, double or triple configuration, the Donya Downlight scales naturally from intimate residential spaces to larger commercial interiors. The Double configuration is suited to compositions that need a stronger, wider spread of light — over a kitchen island, along a hallway, or as a paired accent within a larger scheme — while bringing the same warmth and precision as the single fitting. Donya Downlight Double is supplied with two reflector rings that can be used or not used, depending on the desired effect. The IP54 rating means that Donya is suitable for bathroom zones 1 & 2.

Warm, dimmable light with a long lifespan
Technically, the Donya Downlight Double delivers 2 x 410 lumens at 2 x 8W with a 2700K warm white colour temperature. Also available with a dim-to-warm colour temperature range of 2000–3000K — shifting from a rich candlelight warmth to a soft warm white as brightness increases, in the same way a traditional incandescent bulb behaves. With a CRI of 90+ and a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours, it is as dependable as it is beautiful.

Donya is crafted and finished by hand, and is available with an 8–10 week lead time.

Meaning light in Farsi, Anour has also come to signify the meshing of high-end design with hi-tech functionality. After attending the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, in 2007 Founder and Architect Arash Nourinejad began partnering with local artisans to create ecologically sustainable, hand-crafted light installation pieces that boast integrated touch dimmers and ingenious cordless power.

Finished in warming wood and metallics, including brass and copper, every Anour lamp is individually surface treated using organic colouring techniques. Natural processes such as oxidising and rusting result in a fully customisable, textured finish. This stunning lighting collection includes a cordless light for the living room, a beautiful weathered green copper pendant and an adjustable brass desk lamp ideal for the study. Anour brings Danish design tradition in to the present whilst forging ahead with a simple, contemporary design aesthetic.
