DLD Andes Mini 1-R Tunable White 2700K-6500K LED Adjustable Plaster In Downlight

The DLD Andes Mini almost has a double anti-glare design, with not only a black baffle, but also a plaster frame with a deep recess. At just 6cm in diameter, the Andes Mini is ideal as a directional downlight for bathroom zone 2 (it's also suitable for standard rooms) thanks to the IP54 rating. The 24º adjustable tilt and 355º rotation mean Andes can be used to highlight specific walls or architectural features. Now with added control over the colour temperature, from a warm 2700K white through to a cool 6500K white, and any value in between.

Once the frame is installed into the ceiling, it's easy to pop the LED light engine in and out, allowing for simple maintenance after installation. Beam angle is 36 degrees as standard (for other beam angles, please enquire for availability). Die-cast aluminium luminaire with steel housing. Heat sink in forged aluminium for optimum heat dissipation. Reflector in plastic PC. In white with black baffle. Our downlights are fire rated as standard, and have lasted over 60 minutes in independent tests by Cambridge Fire Research. The Andes range is fully dimmable, supporting 0-10V, TRIAC or DALI drivers. 

About tunable white LED
Also known as variable white, dim-to-white, or custom temperature lighting, tunable white LEDs allow the light colour to be adjusted - usually from warm 2200K white, to a neutral 4000K white, through to a cool 6500K white. A flexible lighting solution that is perfect for human-centric lighting schemes, the fitting easily switches from warm to cool depending on whether you need a calm ambience or specific lighting for a task, usually automatically programmed to provide the correct white light temperature for the time of day. 

This fitting can be adjusted from 2700K to 6500K.

Full control with NFC driver 
Our range of tunable white downlights works best with the L-Tech NFC programmable DALI driver - see dropdown. No DALI master is needed, each NFC driver can be synced to one network and controlled via the app, allowing for the creation of light groups, scenes, fade timer, dimming, and colour temperature. Wireless dimming from your smartphone

This luminaire can also be used with the Casambi dimming units to give flexible control of all the lights in your home. Create the perfect mood for all situations wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.0 and save them as pre-set scenes on the Casambi app from your smartphone. Or control the scene at the touch of a button, either with Casambi wireless wall switches or with an off-the-shelf push dimmable on/off switch. Emergency lighting compatible

Emergency pack available as an extra. By utilising the optional emergency pack, this luminaire can be used as a back-up emergency light fitting that complies with standard building safety regulations. In the event of a power outage, this high-performance fitting becomes a low-lux emergency light, operating at around 10% of its original performance with a battery life of 3 hours. I've scratched the finish on the plaster-in metal frame during install, can I continue?

• The plaster-in frame is made of iron, which will rust if left in prolonged contact with moisture. The water proof paint finish protects the iron frame from moisture, but if it is damaged rust spots may occur in the ceiling after installation.
  
  

How do I repair the water proof finish of a damaged frame or plasterboard screws?

• Any water proof finish that is damaged during installation will require painting with suitable waterproof paint to reseal. Contact us for recommended paints.
  
  

What screws do I need to use?

• Plasterboard screws, or screws with a suitable waterproof finish, are required for correct installation.
  
  

How does this effect the warranty?

• If a damaged frame, damaged screws or incorrect screws are used during installation, the product warranty is invalidated. Any damage must be repaired prior to installation for the product to remain under warranty.
