Description

Our flagship adjustable downlight, the DLD Andes paired with a traditional 1-S recessed square trimmed frame boasts our True Colour CRI 98 LED chip, representing the full light colour spectrum with crystal clear clarity. Featuring a deep black baffle that effectively reduces glare from the luminaire, the IP54 rating combined with the 24º adjustable tilt and 355º rotation make the versatile Andes downlight range perfect for a range of uses - whether that's installation in bathroom zone 2, general lighting or to highlight artwork or specific features in the home.  

It's simple to access the LED light engine post installation, which allows ongoing maintenance to be as simple as popping the engine in and out of the frame. Narrow or wider spreads of light are achieved with the choice of 15º or 36º beam angles. Luminaire made from die-cast aluminium with steel housing, with the heat sink in forged aluminium for optimum heat dissipation. Reflector in plastic PC. Bezel ring in white or black finish with an inner black baffle. Our downlights are fire rated as standard, and have lasted over 60 minutes in independent tests by Cambridge Fire Research. The Andes range is fully dimmable, supporting 0-10V, TRIAC or DALI drivers.

Wireless dimming from your smartphone

This luminaire can also be used with the Casambi dimming units to give flexible control of all the lights in your home. Create the perfect mood for all situations wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.0 and save them as pre-set scenes on the Casambi app from your smartphone. Or control the scene at the touch of a button, either with Casambi wireless wall switches or with an off-the-shelf push dimmable on/off switch.  See the 'You May Also Need...' section below for the available options and technical information.

Emergency lighting compatible

Emergency pack available as an extra. By utilising the optional emergency pack this luminaire can be used as a back-up emergency light fitting that complies with standard building safety regulations. In the event of a power outage this high performance fitting becomes a low lux emergency light, operating at around 10% of it’s original performance with a battery life of 3 hours.
