DLD Lightflow 15W COB Tunable White 2200K-6500K IP20 Linear LED Tape

Description

Our tunable white human centric LED tape, Lightflow is suitable for use with most profiles. The CCT Tunable White version comes in an efficient 15W capacity, with a light temperature that moves from a warm 2200K (candlelight) to a brighter 6500K white, which when installed with human centric lighting control system can stay in sync with the human body's circadian rhythm. Supplied in a 5m roll with 3M self adhesive on the back, the tape can be cut every 50mm along the cut mark.

Suitable for use in architectural and residential projects, arch edge lighting, residential or commercial applications and even car decoration. IP20 - suitable for indoor use only.

Dimmable by 0-10V, PWM, TRIAC and DALI depending on driver - not supplied. Recommended for installation with an aluminium profile, as this acts as a heat sink and prolongs the lifespan of the LED tape. 

About tunable white LED
Also known as variable white, dim-to-white, or custom temperature lighting, tunable white LEDs allow the light colour to be adjusted - usually from warm 2700K white, to a neutral 4000K white, through to a cool 6500K white. A flexible Human Centric lighting solution that supports our circadian rhythm, easily switch from warm to cool depending on whether you need a calm ambiance before bed or specific lighting for a task during the day.

Wireless dimming from your smartphone
This Lightflow linear LED can also be used with the Casambi dimming units to give flexible control of the lighting in your home. Create the perfect mood for all situations wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.0 and save them as pre-set scenes on the Casambi app from your smartphone. What is Tunable White lighting?

• Also known as variable white, dim-to-white, or custom temperature lighting, Tunable White LEDs allow the light colour to be adjusted smoothly from warm 2700K white, to a neutral 4000K white, through to a bright 6500K white and any variation in-between.
  
  

Why use Tunable White light fittings?

• Ideal for human centric lighting to compliment our built-in circadian rhythm, Tunable White light fittings can be programmed to change the light temperature from bright white sunlight 6500K in the early morning to support cortisol production, raising alertness and readying the body for the tasks of the day. The light temperature moves towards the warmer spectrum through the day into the afternoon, with a spike of brighter light after lunch to help with the post lunch dip. As evening approaches, the light moves towards warmer 2200K candlelight white, blocking blue light, and encouraging melatonin to help relax the body ready for sleep.
  
  

How are Tunable White fittings controlled?

• To make use of the circadian rhythm supporting features of Tunable White LED fittings, they should be installed with a control system that:
   
  1) can be commissioned to automatically regulate the light cycle throughout the day 
  
  2) allows for the light temperature and dimming level to be overridden if required, for example if additional task lighting is needed later in the day.
  
  

Can Tunable White fittings only be used for new projects? 

• No, tunable white fittings can be used in existing electrical circuits. Whilst there are more options for a new project to install a bespoke system from scratch, a more cost effective way can be to replace existing fittings with tunable white luminaires. A Casambi wireless Bluetooth system can be retrofitted at the same time and commissioned to automatically control the cycle throughout the day, whilst giving full control from the mobile phone app.
