Designed to indirectly light the ceiling, the Spectrasol MEDD procognitive pendant features an artificial LED light that is as close to natural sunlight as possible. The indirect upward lighting is designed to provide ample quality light for work or study whilst having zero glare. When compared to the Spectrasol ADDAM and Sunline 45, MEDD offers up to twice the light output. MEDD is also available in biodynamic versions with direct downward facing warm relaxing light, perfect for encouraging the body natural rhythm to wind down and prepare for sleep.
Thanks to its balanced spectral composition (SPD), which positively influences the body's circadian rhythms through the non-visual system of the eye ( NIF), the MEDD suspension light offers biologically optimised full-spectrum lighting that supports overall health, physical and mental vitality, and greatly improves cognitive endurance, functions and performance.
The harmful blue light range
The majority of LEDs on the market only emit concentrated energy in the short wavelengths of the blue part of the light spectrum in the harmful blue light range, which increases the risk of macular degeneration.
Full Spectrum light range
Spectrasol LED, on the other hand, regenerates the eyes by emitting energy in the red, photobiomodulation part of the light spectrum, which acts as a compensatory factor for harmful blue light with both preventive and therapeutic effects.
