Italic combines complex, fluid geometries into a typical Brick In The Wall new edge design. The result is a unique, contemporary wall light fixture that offers endless combination possibilities for state of the art indirect lighting solutions. Italic can be used with the lamp at the top, at the bottom, or sideways The unusual sculptural shape of the sleekly curving Italic creates a new presence in the interior design. Made of CALCYT® plaster, the fully paintable Italic shares the same thermal expansion characteristics as regular plaster or plasterboard, which ensures stable installations free of plaster cracks. The truly trimless Italic is testing the boundaries of architectural light fixture design. The effortless sensuality and sculptural quality translates into a forceful, organic, and utterly different result: not straightforward, but Italic. Italic has received the reddot design award 2012.

THE 'BRICK IN THE WALL' CONCEPT IS CHARACTERIZED BY A SEAMLESS INTEGRATION OF LIGHT.

This results in a minimalistic plaster-in design that is only driven by its function, with light and architecture as a true amalgam. Brick in the Wall developed its own plaster, Calcyt, to obtain heat resistance with a high density and hardness. The plaster fittings can be painted in the same colour as the wall or ceiling - perfectly integrating into almost every interior.
